Jacob Jones
ceo & contractor
Jacob Jones is the Owner of Malibu Pools. Also known as "JJ" by many, Jacob grew up in Kress, Texas and attended Plainview High. He graduated from Texas Tech University where he played catcher for Texas Tech Baseball. Jacob has been in the construction industry for 20 years, as a general contractor for home builders, taking on many of his own projects. In 2013 he branched out into the pool business and as you can say, the rest is history. He went full time to run his own company with the utmost excellence in construction and customer service. Malibu Pools now serves clients all over West Texas and Eastern New Mexico and has expanded into DFW and areas of the Hill Country. If you've got a project, JJ is the man for the job.
Tyson
landscape designer
Tyson Watson is the head landscape designer at Malibu Pools. Tyson is originally from Memphis, TX, but made his way to Lubbock in 2012 to attend college. Tyson has a strong educational background in landscape architecture, holding both a Bachelor's and Master's of landscape architecture. Tyson brings a unique perspective to his role as a landscape designer at Malibu Pools.
Prior to joining Malibu Pools in 2021, Tyson served as an instructor at Texas Tech University, sharing his passion for the field of landscape architecture with his students. Even today, Tyson continues to contribute to the academic community by teaching part-time, staying connected to the latest industry trends and advancements.
Throughout his career, Tyson has demonstrated an eye for detail and a talent for transforming ordinary spaces into extraordinary environments. His designs integrate natural elements, resulting in captivating and harmonious landscapes that enhance the overall appeal of any project.
